There are stories which are written over time, with simple words. Fire, water, junipers, firewood, countryside, farming communities, tradition, craftsmanship. Gin Xoriguer boasts one of those stories.
The Xoriguer Distilleries still make what is probably the oldest gin in the Mediterranean. It is lovingly handcrafted, using a recipe that dates back to the early 1700s, and distilled in copper alembic stills that are more than 250 years old. Our tradition has gained us the prestigious Geographical Indication, as ‘Gin de Mahón’.
Would you like to know more about just how the Xoriguer Distilleries became leaders in creating authentic tradition in a bottle?
Currently, Miguel Pons Justo, S.A.-Destilerías Xoriguer- is a family-run business, producing more than half a million bottles of Xoriguer per year which is sold within Spain, plus countries such as the United States, France, Italy, Japan, Australia, Mexico and New Zealand.
Their ethos remains as true as ever, with total commitment to maintaining the gin’s traditional crafting method and original flavour, and its unusual bottle with the famous windmill on the label. And all of this has been further acknowledged by the Geographical Indication distinction.
